A university disciplinary hearing is underway for Jameis Winston’s two teammates who were witnesses in a sexual assault investigation against him.
Chris Casher and Ronald Darby were expected to attend the hearing.
Winston was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at an off-campus apartment in December, 2012, but the state attorney decided no charges would be filed due to lack of evidence.
According to ESPN.com, Casher and Darby face discipline related to their actions the morning of the Winston incident and possible sexual-misconduct and invasion-of-privacy violations of the FSU code of conduct.
Casher and Darby both claimed to see the accuser and Winston engaging in a sexual act they say was consensual.
Winston’s attorney, Tim Jansen, tells WCTV that Jameis was never notified or asked to attend Tuesday’s hearing.
Winston is currently in North Carolina for the ACC baseball tournament.
University officials declined comment on the hearing, citing state and federal laws.
