Valdosta, GA — Hundreds are gathered at the Georgia State Capitol Building for the “Who Killed KJ” rally. A few prominent figures are speaking today including Reverend Al Sharpton, Martin Luther King the Third, and radio personality Rickey Smiley.
Protesters have lined Washington Street to join the Johnson family in their fight for justice.
Sunday the Johnson family visited the famous Ebenezer Baptist Church, which is the church of Martin Luther King Jr.
On Tuesday, the family filed a complaint against the funeral home that handled KJ’s remains. They addressed the Georgia State Board of Funeral Services about the mishandling of their son’s body after his death.
The family says today’s rally is their next step in finding justice for Kendrick.
