Casey Anthony filed for bankruptcy Friday night, court documents say.
According to the court filing, she owes nearly $800,000 but only has $1,084 to her name.
The bulk of that money – about $500,000 – is owed to Jose Baez, her attorney in her 2008 case regarding the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.
The rest of her debt is held by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the IRS, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and several other government organizations, the 60 page document said.
This is a breaking news story. We will update as we work through the court filing.
