Midway Police Chief Arrested PC

A local police chief is facing criminal charges.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested Midway Police Chief Terron Lindsey late Wednesday afternoon.
Lindsey is charged with one count of official misconduct and one count of petit theft.
FDLE says Lindsey allegedly falsified official documents pertaining to his employment as police chief and allegedly used one of the City’s credit cards to purchase a personal item.
FDLE would not say what they believe Lindsey allegedly falsified on the documents or what he allegedly used the credit card to buy.
He is being held on a $5,500 bond at the Leon County Jail.
The City of Midway has declined to comment on the arrest or Lindsey’s status with the department at this time.
Lindsey became Midway’s Police Chief in October of 2011, according to the City’s website.
Midway, FL – Midway police chief Terron Lindsey has been arrested tonight.
Midway’s city manager says Lindsey is charged with misuse of office and petit (petty) theft.
The city won’t comment further right now.
