Tallahassee police asking for public tips in hazing investigation

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Investigators with the Tallahassee police department are looking for tips regarding a possible hazing case.

Tallahassee police began investigating the possible hazing case on September 5, 2012. The case was referred by the Florida A&M University police department. The complaint, which was made anonymously, stated that a hazing took place at a residence on or near Jakes Street and Patterson Street near FAMU campus and involved a FAMU dance group called “Torque”. The anonymous complainant did not identify either a suspect or a victim in the case but did state alcohol and “forced” activity were involved with the incident. .
Investigators say that they have interviewed all known parties and followed all leads, but they are unable to identify any suspects or victims in this case.
