Tallahassee Mayor John Marks’ attorney says he doesn’t expect a settlement to happen before the mayor’s ethics case goes to court next month.
Barry Richard, who’s representing Marks, said he’s had cordial discussions with the advocate for the Florida Commission on Ethics, who acts as a prosecutor in ethics cases.
“John feels like he hasn’t violated anything,” Richard said. “So there’s not really any room for settlement. I think both sides are acting in good faith. We just don’t have a basis to settle.”
