Lightsey Endorses Daniel Parker for City Commissioner | Vote For Steve Stewart!

Our OpinionThe Tallahassee O Media Group is fully supporting Steve Stewart For City Commissioner As The Best Candidate For The Citizens On The Ballot.
.
We do like Daniel Parker in which he seems like a nice guy.  However, Stewart would currently be our Mayor now if Mayor John Marks didn’t violate election laws in the last election.
.
With the Debbie Lightsey vacation plan of the deferred compensation scheme of giving herself a personal raise without any citizen say or vote on the matter, we think she is the last person that should be considered by citizens on a candidate endorsement!
.
Steve Stewart was our choice for Mayor in the last election and he’s our choice now for City Commissioner in this election.  Daniel Parker does seem like a nice guy but we certainly don’t need endorsements of crooked politicians in this election.  The crooked and dirty politics in the last election is exactly why Steve Stewart isn’t at work in Tallahassee as our Mayor today.

Lightsey Endorses Daniel Parker for City Commissioner

Tallahassee, Florida- July 19, 2012

Former City Commissioner Debbie Lightsey is endorsing Daniel Parker for Tallahassee City Commission Seat One.

Lightsey made the formal announcement at a press conference Thursday morning. Lightsey is the longest running commissioner. She  served five four year terms on the commission, beginning back in 1989.

“I think Daniel Parker has displayed his commitment to this community. He’s an honest man. he’s in this for all the right reasons. And I think he’s the best candidate int his race,” said Lightsey.

Lightsey went on to say she knows many people see Parker as the underdog in the race. She said she feels some of the other candidates would be a step backwards for Tallahassee.
