Tallahassee police: Burglars targeting business’ computers

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Over the last several months, the Tallahassee Police Department says they have seen an increase of burglaries to businesses in the downtown area, and the suspects are using clever ways to be target laptop computers.

To blend in with the downtown area, suspects are using a sophisticated method of operation that includes dressing in business attire. Police are asking downtown merchants and business owners to be aware of suspicious people they don’t recognize entering their offices.

On several occasions, a business employee told police they saw a suspicious person in their building just before a theft happened.

If you suspect that your business is being targeted for a burglary, please call Tallahassee police at 850-891-4200 immediately.

Police investigators are attempting to identify the suspects in these cases.

Community members with information about any of these cases are asked to call TPD or the Big Bend Crime Stoppers at 574-TIPS. Crime Stoppers does not want your name, just your information and you may be eligible for a cash reward.
