Trial set for former deputy accused of stealing $70K from elderly man
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A former Leon County deputy will stand trial later this year, accused of stealing thousands of dollars from an elderly man.
David Graham will stand trial beginning August 27th.
The former Leon County Sheriff’s Sergeant, and 2011 LCSO Deputy of the Year, is facing a total of 24 charges including Grand Theft of a Firearm, Organized to Scheme to Defraud, and Defrauding Pawn Broker.
Graham was fired from the sheriff’s office in February. Investigators say Graham stole an antique gun and approximately $70,000, and jewelry from an elderly man. Graham is also accused of insurance fraud involving a tractor that he owned.
His wife, Vicki-Luggie Graham is also facing charges, accused of receiving money from a second hand dealer for the consignment sale of an antique bracelet that belonged to the daughter of the elderly victim.
